Glasgow Metro Youth Hostel will be open from 28 June to 30 August 2017 in the Glasgow School of Art's Margaret Macdonald House just minutes from Glasgow city centre.
Margaret Macdonald House is registered as a 3 star Hostel with Visit Scotland and has achieved a Gold rating from the Green Business Tourism Scheme. The people who take advantage of this great value accommodation include backpackers, students, families, summer school students and groups, including pipe bands. All 107 bedrooms are single and almost 50% of the rooms are ensuite and free Wi-Fi. All bedrooms have access to a kitchen equipped for basic self catering needs.
Situated in a residential area 5-minutes' walk from Glasgow city centre. Glasgow Green Park, which also home to the Winter Gardens and The People's Palace, is just 1.5 miles from the property. Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Sauchiehall Street and a variety of shops and restaurants can be found within a 15-minute walk from the property. Several bus and underground stations are within a 10-minute walk. The main train station is only under a mile away.
