Located at the halfway point on the West Highland Way, Crianlarich Youth Hostel sits below a forest in the Strathfillan Glen and provides a most welcome rest for tired feet.
Just over an hour's drive from Stirling, this friendly hostel provides a great base for families, groups and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the northern area of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
The hostel provides a range of shared accommodation and private rooms with facilities including a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, cosy lounge, large dining area and a drying room for those unfortunate enough to have been caught out by Scotland's unpredictable climate. There is ramped access for wheelchair users, ample parking and a children’s playground nearby.
Twenty Munros dominate the landscape that surrounds the hostel making it popular with hill walkers. For those wishing to discover the natural beauty of the area at a more leisurely pace, there are a number of walks in the local community woodland and nearby forest. If you're keen on fishing, trout fishing permits can be bought locally.
