Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is situated in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park, next to Loch Morlich, seven miles from Aviemore and just two miles from the Cairngorm mountain funicular and snowsports area. It's one of the best places to stay for year-round activities, including hillwalking, climbing, snowsports, mountain biking, pony trekking, watersports and fishing.
The former Scottish shooting lodge provides great facilities including a good range of multi-share and private rooms, a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, cycle store, drying room, internet and WiFi access. Cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and full evening meals are also available. With 72 beds, Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is popular with outdoor enthusiasts, families and youth and school groups looking for budget accommodation.
Glenmore is a fabulous area for activities, but is also somewhere to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Scotland with many easy walking and cycling paths through the Caledonian Pine forest on our doorstep. The Loch Morlich Watersports Centre is based on the large beach near to the youth hostel and some of our activity holidays are based here. For something different visit the Reindeer Centre, where you can learn more about and feed these friendly free roaming animals.
With dog friendly accommodation available at Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel, your four-legged friend will be able to join in on all the fun! A small fee of five pounds per dog per night will be charged and must be booked in advance to ensure that a dog friendly room is allocated. For further information please refer to our Dog Guidelines
