Achmelvich Beach Youth Hostel is a traditional and remote rustic hostel situated just 300 metres from the legendary white sandy beach (listed in the Good Beach Guide). There are miles of unspoilt coastline here to explore, with many quiet secluded beaches to make your own.
This former school building and cottage has been tastefully transformed into a 22-bed youth hostel. Rooms vary in size and include group accommodation, private rooms and one family room. There is also a small self-catering kitchen and spacious dining area for guests to use.
Achmelvich Beach Youth Hostel is the ideal starting point for several beautiful coastal and hill walks such as Quinag, Suilven, Stac Pollaidh and Canisp. Some interesting walks are also organised in summer from the Achmelvich Beach car park by the local rangers. Water sports such as canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing are easily practised in the crystal waters.
With good transport links, local produce to sample and spectacular sunsets, Achmelvich Beach Youth Hostel makes an unforgettable stay.
