From February 2016 SYHA Hostelling Scotland made the move to ensure that all foodstuffs (including alcohol) served in Scottish youth hostels are sourced locally and of Scottish provenance.

One year on our Taste the Difference initiative ensures we keep all food offering local to our youth hostels and Scottish sustaining local businesses whilst educating and promoting Scotland to our guests.

Working together with Hostelling International​ we aim to continue to work to reduce our economic, social and environmental impact.
