Two of our hostels – Carbisdale Castle in the Highlands and Loch
Lomond on the shores of the loch in the heart of the National Park
– make ideal venues for a stunning wedding.
Each has a unique and very special style, and each is set in
wonderful grounds. Both are licensed wedding venues, and we have
plenty of experience in helping couples to create a romantic and
memorable wedding.
For many couples, an important feature of both of these venues
is that all your guests can stay overnight with you. Instead
of sending guests away after the reception, or paying premium
prices for hotel rooms, all of the accommodation in the hostel is
yours to use throughout your stay – with 110 - 150 beds in each
venue.
Our Rowardennan Lodge hostel, also in the national park, has a
wedding licence and is perfect for smaller, informal weddings.
And all of this comes at a price designed to make your wedding
affordable as well as unforgettable.
Our Wedding Package
Including two nights’
exclusive use of either Loch Lomond or Carbisdale Castle. This
gives you time to decorate the hostel in advance of the wedding,
and many couples also choose to have an informal dinner with
friends and family at the hostel on the night before the
wedding.
The price includes all accommodation for both nights, and the
help of our staff in preparing and setting up the venue ready for
your wedding. We will also liaise with caterers for you, or at
Carbisdale Castle we can supply a chef and waiting staff.
Unlike at a hotel wedding, you can continue your celebrations
into the night if you want. We do ask that discos and dances
end at 2am, and licensing laws require your bar to stop serving at
1am.
While you are planning your wedding, the hostel manager will
work closely with you to make sure all your requirements can be
met. This will normally involve an initial tour of the hostel to
talk through your ideas for your wedding, and later meetings with
the manager to go over the fine detail as you get closer to the big
day.
Our staff at each venue are very experienced in helping couples
to design and manage their wedding, and can provide useful advice
on local suppliers, room layouts, wedding themes and ideas to make
your wedding extra special.
