The Tartan Army

Tartan Army MarchersSYHA Hostelling Scotland is delighted to be supporting The Tartan Army Marchers in  their quest to raise £5000 for charity by offering them overnight accommodation at the Glasgow City Hostel on the last night of their 440 mile hike from Oslo to Glasgow.

The Tartan Marchers plan to set off after the Scotland game in Norway on August 12th and walk all the way back to Hampden in time for the World Cup qualifier against Macedonia in September.

They will hike 20 miles a day for 22 days and arrive in Glasgow for the game against Macedonia on September 5. SYHA Hostelling Scotland were approached by organiser Martin Beaton to ask if they could stay for the night of 4 September for a well deserved rest before completing the final few miles to Hampden Park.

Martin, Calum, 23, and Michael and Laura, both 21, are doing the trek to raise money for the Tartan Army Children's Charity and the Scottish Huntington's Disease Association.
