TV Star John Martin visits SYHA National
Office!
You may already be aware that over the last year, SYHA have been
fortunate enough to have volunteer archivist, John Martin, visit
Scotland on a number of occasions to further update the SYHA
Archives.
Just prior to visiting Scotland, John had been asked to work
with the BBC on a documentary, ‘Youth Hostelling: The First 100
Years’ to mark the 100th birthday of the hostelling movement.
Having previously worked for other National British and Irish
Associations, John came to us with a phenomenal depth of experience
and an extraordinary passion and interest for youth hostelling.
John’s hard work and commitment is very much appreciated by
everyone at SYHA and his work is invaluable in preserving the long
and interesting history of the SYHA.
