Summer Youth Hostel has opened for the season, offering the
ultimate recession-proof beach holiday in one of Scotland’s most
iconic seaside towns.
This year’s hostel is managed by two German
volunteers, who are looking forward to greeting a variety of guests
in what is expected to be a bustling summer.
Serving as high quality student halls at one
of the country’s most prestigious universities during term time,
the David Russell apartments in Buchanan Gardens are transformed
into desirable, yet affordable, holiday accommodation by SYHA
Hostelling Scotland for the summer.
Located within walking distance of the
picturesque town centre, the hostel is ideal for visiting the
famous St Andrews golf course, the venue for the St Andrews
Highland Games and the Award Winning East Sands beach.
The accommodation is comprised of apartments
with five bedrooms, a well-furnished lounge and an excellent
self-catering kitchen.
All bedrooms have a double bed, an en-suite
shower bathroom and television and can be booked for double or
single occupancy for only £35. Ground-floor
apartments are available for guests with limited mobility.
Guests can make use of the on-site licensed
bar and breakfast, hot main meals and snacks are available from 8am
- 7pm daily. Other facilities include free car parking, a bike
store and a launderette.
