Glencoe Youth Hostel undergoes major refurbishment

Glencoe Hostel has undergone a £100,000 transformation over the winter period and now provides new washroom areas and increased shower facilities on both floors for males and females. In addition the hostel has brand new beds and individual lockable storage cupboards. The refurbishment has also allowed the creation of one twin room and two family rooms for people travelling with children or those who prefer a bit more privacy. A new bike shed has been erected outside the hostel and picnic tables are in the garden for guests to use on those long summer nights!

Glencoe Youth Hostel provides the perfect base for all outdoor enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Equipped with good self-catering facilities and amenities this characterful 62-bedded hostel has everything you need for a short stay or holiday this year.

The world famous Clachaig Inn, with its folk nights and friendly atmosphere, is within easy walking distance from the hostel and there are numerous walks, climbs and adrenaline watersports on offer nearby.
Glencoe also provides a great base in which to explore the highlands and the islands of scotland. In addition to its own attractions, Glencoe is only 14 miles south of Fort William - which makes it very convenient for climbing Ben Nevis or simply exploring further a field.
