Not far from the ferry. A steep drive up to the hostel. Lots of large saucepans for big groups could do with more smaller ones. Fantastic views from the kitchen window whilst washing up. A comfortable lounging area. Very helpfull and friendly staff. Nearby Fairy Glen well worth a visit.

An excellent view from the common room down and across the harbour. so romantic to watch the ferry come arrive from the Outer Hebridies each evening, and dock at the quay.

Watch out for the turn in to the Hostel and be prepaired for the very steep hair-pins on the drive. For such an out of the way location, how refreshing to meet people from all over the world!

Great accommodation for taking the early morning ferry to Tarbert. Equipped and happy to take infants when booking a family room. Beautiful view of the area.

This site is excellent both for accommodation and location. The view from the hostel is fantastic. The staff were helpful and friendly. One of the best YH we've stayed in. Note - it is a good 30 minute walk to the ferry - we ended up running ...

It's a nice hostel with very good rooms, a very nice place to be. Don't forget to go to Quiraing. You can make a very beautiiful walk there!! The sheeps are walking on the way... very nice... At the pier in Uig, you can see a sael, who's living there. Don't forget Staffin Bay, Kilt Rock, the Old man of Storr (a walk of 30 min from the road to get there), Portree. Very beautiful!!!!
great view on the bay, perfect organized hostel, lots of space in the kitchen and in the dormitories as well. Many good and clean showers. Very friendly and helpful team (especially Amanda)

This is an excellent hostel, clean, well equipped and with stunning views. The sitting room off dining area is a lovely place to relax in the evening.Make sure and visit the Quirang when staying at this Hostel. The wee shop in Uig is surprisingly well stocked for a village of its size.
