Port Charlotte, Islay

Photo of Hostel

Housed in an old whisky warehouse our youth hostel is situated on the beach in the picturesque village of Port Charlotte on the island of Islay. It is surrounded by rolling hills and a scenic coastline, which harbors many secluded sandy bays. Along with its outstanding natural beauty Islay is also famed for its diverse and plentiful wildlife and is home to two RSPB nature reserves. It is also home to eight of Scotland’s finest whisky distilleries. With excellent accommodation and facilities, the youth hostel (and the attached Wildlife Centre) is an ideal location from which to explore all that Islay has to offer.
