Walking
The Eday Heritage walk
5 miles long, boots recommended.
The Cusbay
Walk
Length: 3 to 4km, depending on the route.
This walk explores the township of Cusbay
and can be linked with part of the Heritage walk.
The Warness
Walk
Length: 2.8km (1.7miles)
A circular walk of along the coast, returning
through farmland. A longer walk of 3.9km (2.4miles) is possible
taking in the summit of Ward Hill providing spectacular
views.
The
Leeniesdale Walk
A2.2km
(1.4 mile) circular walk or a 4.4km (2.7mile) circular walk Both
returning to the Roadside Inn.

Wildlife
A huge abundance of birdlife including
Short-eared owls, hen harrier and red-throated diver and in summer
you are likely to see puffin, black guilmot and shag. Close to the
coast you can spot a range of marine life including seals, whales
and dolphins.
