This has to be one of the best hostels in Scotland, great location, great facilities and friendly staff.Book for the quieter times of the year and experience a relaxed and peaceful escape surrounded by spectacular scenery. But be sure to stock up on provisions before you get here as the nearest shop is a bit hit and miss.

This hostel is by far one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was well worth the long drive to get there. The scenery was just breath taking. The whole experience just made my husband's 60th birthday one to remember

a lovely hostel in possibly the most beautiful part of scotland,, fantastic views from the lounge, and amazing views up liathach from the rear, on the whole the hostel is great, but could just do with a bit of tlc with obvious signs of damp in quite a few places and other parts in desperate need of repair. all that beside, personally i love this place.. . (even when the midge are causing havoc outside!)..

Simple but comfortable youth hostel, in a very beautiful location perfect for exploring the beautiful Bens in Torridon. Very friendly and helpful staff (the mountain rescue is also there so the people there can really help you if you are going hill walking or trekking).

With Edinburg, one of the best Youth Hostel. One difference: in Edinburgh not a beautiful view. In Torridon: fantastic view!

Wonderfully located near the 'National Trust Countryside Centre'; itself part of a 16,000 acre estate of wonderful mountains and breathtaking scenery for the walker, climber, geologist and naturalist to explore, where maps, books and information on walks are available together with an exhibition of local features (most usefully an ordinance survey map of the area displayed on the outside wall of the Centre available for viewing 24 hours a day). A Deer Museum is to hand where the first collection of deer antlers I have ever seen are to be found and touched. The red deer themselves are in a field nearby. A bird viewers haven too with an observation post looking out to Loch Torridon. This Scottish Youth Hostel is extremely close to Glen Torridon too, an awesome valley of stupendous proportions. If a thrilling glen, a deer park and a bird observation post don't do it for you then the road to Lower Diabaig is to 'die for' followed by a walk to Redpoint.
