Loch Ossian

A real get-away-from-it-all option, our traditionally-styled Eco-Hostel on Rannoch Moor is perfectly located to explore this remote wilderness. This is ideal walking country with plenty of low and high level routes including some fine Munros and Corbetts. Access to the hostel is by foot only, although Britain’s remotest train station, Corrour (featured in the film Trainspotting) is only 1 mile away (Glasgow-Fort William line). We utilize some of the most up-to-date environmental science available, including wind & solar power, grey water and dry toilet systems. Also, being a popular destination for wildlife lovers we couldn’t forget the bat friendly paint! The hostel is also great for a winter RentaHostel break, when the view of frozen Loch Ossian, surrounded by mountains covered in a blanket of snow, will beat any summer’s day. NB: due to our remote location and weather-reliant energy supplies, we do not provide showers or a fridge.
