What a fab hostel! Fantastic view, cosy and just a bit old- fashioned- lots of character.

On a busy road but overlooking the loch at the back. A period atmosphere redolent of the 1930s fresh air and body beautiful movement. Our rooms looked out on to the loch and were the cleanest hostel bedrooms I've ever encountered. The dining room also had a loch view.

Go and stay at this hostel, if you like the peace and tranquility of being on the edge of a Scottish loch. It is perfect for individuals & families who wish to stay in the Loch Ness area but who want to be away from the tourist hot spots

This worn out Youth Hostel is on a beautiful location; the Loch Ness is really there. You can see the water and you have a beautiful view from your window. Marvelous! Pay attention to the midges and buy DEET 40%. It is better than Avon to chase away the midges.

Very basic accomodations, clean and functional. It is nice that it is right on the Loch and the staff was very friendly, but if I had it to do over again, I would have stayed at one of the other SYHA afflicated hostels in the area. I was traveling with my husband and two small kids and this isn't the best place for a family.

this is a great hostel to stay in, staff were friendly and efficent(german ha ha) if you are doing the great glen way walk then i reccomend going on through invermorriston, pick up supplies as you go through and walk the extra 4 miles to this hostel, right on the loch. also makes the next day shorter!
