Close to the youth hostel there are many craft workshops and access to an intimate beach where grey seals can be spotted. Coastal walks dominate the area; at the famous sea stacks of Duncansby Head interesting seabirds will accompany you as you stroll along. A perfect break for birdwatchers, cyclists and coastal walkers. Nearby Thurso is one of Europe’s top surfing but visitors should make time for a trip to Orkney, where you can stay at our youth hostel in Kirkwall.
