Glencoe

Photo of Hostel

Set in Scotland's most spectacular and historic glen, our youth hostel is a magnet for both tourists and climbers year round. For walkers we offer good facilities and local advice, whether you’re attempting a historic walk up the Lost Valley or tackling Britains finest ridge walk, the Aonach Eagach (which ends at the hostel). The glen itself is conserved by the National Trust for Scotland and you can find out more in their interactive visitor centre. There are fabulous trails in and around the village for families, TIP: ask staff for directions to the secluded Hospital Lochan. The hostel is a 10min walk to the infamous Clachaig Inn and on rainy days check out The Ice Factor (30min drive away), where you can give ice or rock climbing a try (there is also a brewery attached to this building!).
