There is no vehicle access to the hostel. The nearest road
access to this remote location is 8 miles away. We
highly recommend you bring a map, compass and appropriate clothing
(please see directions
page). Allow a minimum of 3 hours for the
walk to the hostel. Guests are recommended to bring a sleeping
bag and sleep sheet, as only Army blankets are available in
the hostel
Please note that we do not accept stag or hen parties at any of
our hostels.
Eating and Drinking
There are no shopping/restaurant facilities nearby , so it is
essential to bring supplies with you.

Wildlife
Capercaillie, crested tit, crossbill, golden eagle, osprey,
otter, pine marten, common sandpiper, greenshank, red-throated
diver, goldeneye, black grouse, red deer, red squirrel,
buzzard.
