Gairloch Carn Dearg

Photo of Hostel

Cosy former hunting lodge on the northern shore of Loch Gairloch with magnificent sea and mountain views. A range of wildlife can be easily spotted from within our youth hostel. Excellent sandy beaches are only a 5 minute walk away whilst boat trips to watch whales and dolphins are available from nearby Gairloch. The local village also boasts fine pubs, coffee shops, local seafood and an award-winning heritage museum. The famous Inverewe Garden is close by, making the youth hostel an ideal place to stop and explore the beautiful west coast. Many fine mountains are only a short drive away, including the Torridon range, which dominates the skyline from our youth hostel lounge. A popular stop-off for many cyclists who enjoy the empty roads and serene landscape this area offers.
