With beautiful coastal views, Broadford Youth Hostel offers a good base for exploring the Isle of Skye.
Perfect for groups, families and solo travellers, the hostel offers has a wide range of private rooms and shared dorms. None of the rooms are en-suite but ample shower and washroom facilities are available.
WiFi is free for all guests and other facilities include a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, comfortable lounge with views across the bay towards the Applecross peninsula, USB charging points in all bedrooms, a laundry and drying room and secure bike storage. Basic provisions, confectionery and soft drinks are available to purchase at reception.
There is a public car park in front of the hostel with spaces for approx. 23 cars.
Broadford is a dog-friendly hostel. If you would like to book yourself and your dog into the hostel, please phone the hostel direct on: +44 (0) 1471 822 442 to check availability. There is a small charge of £7.50 per night for your dog when staying in our hostels.
‘Wee Breakfast’ available (please remember to pre-book).
The hostel is also available for exclusive private rental.

Would recommend to everyone who wants to visit Skye! We had an excellent stay, with all the facilities we needed on our cycle trip, and it was a great location too. Above all, like all the Hostelling Scotland hostels we have stayed at, the staff were super helpful, going above and beyond to help us out (and other guests too) and just generally being very friendly and nice to chat to. Friendly staff. I stayed for 6 nights in a single occupancy room, a main reason for staying. Kitchen open early so brilliant for me having early starts each day whilst guiding my group on the hills.Gary Hodgson

This is a really nice base for exploring Skye or if you're starting or finishing a longer adventure. The staff was really accommodating and helpful as well. It's out of the way of the main road too so it has a nice private atmosphere to itCK

Reasons to visit
Set in a romantic bay with beautiful coastal and mountain views, Broadford Youth Hostel is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Isle of Skye.
The Marble trail and Corry walk are within easy reach of the hostel and the famous Cuillin mountain range is just 15 miles away. For a more relaxing experience, the Irishman's Point is a short walk from the hostel with views over Pabay and Scalpay Islands and with Loch Carron and the Northwest Highlands looming in the distance. A boat trip from Elgol (about a 30 minute drive) towards Loch Coruisk is well worth considering.
Skye offers ideal sea kayaking opportunities for those with a more adventurous spirit and courses for all levels can be taken within close driving distance of the hostel.
Seals, otters and gannets are regularly seen diving for fish close to the hostel and local attractions include Armadale Castle and Clan MacDonald hosting a number of events across the year from craft fairs to music festivals. Discover local craftsmanship at Skye ceramics or Skye candles and take home a lasting reminder of your trip.
