Ben Lomond Bunkhouse

About About this hostel

At the foot of Ben Lomond, and close to the West Highland Way, Ben Lomond Bunkhouse is perfect as an overnight stop or for anyone wishing to stay locally while climbing the Ben. With spacious, comfortable bunk rooms, a large dining kitchen, large lounge with woodstove, hot showers and a great drying room, the bunkhouse is an ideal haven after your hard day in the great outdoors.

Run by the National Trust for Scotland, all profits from the bunkhouse help towards path repair and other conservation work on Ben Lomond. If you aren't doing the whole 95 miles of the West Highland Way there are still great walks to be had following the local sections north or south along the banks of Loch Lomond. Ben Lomond is a four mile walk (6.5km) from car park to summit, usually taking between four and six hours for the round trip up and down.

The bunkhouse is right at the foot of Ben Lomond and next door to a small ranger service office. You can tackle the Ben armed with extra inside knowledge if the rangers are about for a chat.

Dogs are welcome at the bunkhouse but only when booked for exclusive use.
