Family Hostels

All of our hostels welcome children, but we have identified some hostels which are particularly well-suited to families. In these hostels we offer family rooms (many en suite) with a good range of facilities including laundry rooms, in-house dining, internet access and often extensive private grounds for the kids to explore. All of our family hostels have self-catering facilities with spacious and well equipped kitchens; some also provide cooked meals and packed lunches. Most hostels have a games room and TV lounge where you can chill out after a busy day. We can also provide travel cots and high chairs in many hostels (prior notice necessary).

Hostelling Scotland offers free membership to children under 16 and we have also introduced the Family & Friends membership category which allows a group of up to 9 people to stay for an annual fee of only £14!
