Give Us A Break is an exciting project which provides funding for groups of disadvantaged young people to take part in a stimulating blend of educational, social, cultural and recreational activities within the fun and friendly environment of a Youth Hostel setting.

Trips to a variety of youth hostels in both city and rural locations will bring young people together from different backgrounds to develop understanding and foster tolerance. For many of these youngsters, it will be their first trip away from home, or even out of the city.  By offering them the opportunity to travel, we are helping them learn more about their environment, themselves and each other.

The activity breaks are designed to encourage groups of young people to develop new ideas and skills, and to build the self-confidence to tackle everyday situations. The breaks provide the opportunity to break the cycle of social exclusion and pave the way to a better quality of life for themselves and their community.
