Conferences
SYHA youth hostels can be used
as inexpensive and unusual venues for conferences, seminars and
training events. Our hostels offer a unique combination of
characterful buildings with a highly professional standard of
service.
A number of our hostels have excellent conference facilities,
with high quality audio-visual equipment provided as standard, and
flexible catering services to suit your requirements.
The hostels can accommodate groups of up to 150 in different
formats, ranging from lecture-style conferences to multi-room
seminars or workshops. Overnight accommodation can also be
arranged, and a full catering service is available as part of our
conference package. We aim to be fully flexible in the
service we offer to organisations, and can adapt the menu and
timings to suit your particular requirements.
You can choose to hire just a conference room, or could instead
hire the whole hostel as a RentaHostel so that you have exclusive
use of the building and grounds for your group.

Training Events
Hostels are also
particularly well-suited to hosting training events – for
desk-based, seminar or lecture style, or outdoor activity
training. You can choose to take over just the conference
room, or the whole hostel and grounds. Our hostel managers
will help you to find local activity providers if required, and we
have a mix of remote and city-based hostels for you to choose
from.

Prices
Our hostels offer very good value
conference facilities. Prices for our conference and training
facilities vary according to the hostel, the amount of space you
need, your catering requirements and the number of people
attending. Our hostel manager will discuss your requirements
with you and will give you a quotation for the services you
require.

Charity use of hostels
As our
prices tend to be lower than those of hotels and similar
conference/training venues, they are particularly attractive to
charities and small organisations with limited budgets.
