Click here for map showing the Hostel's location Moaness Pier is the arrival point for pedestrians by ferry from Stromness. A car ferry operates from Houton to Lyness, details for both are available through Orkney Ferries (01856 872044). There is no public transport on the island, however minibus, taxi and island tour guides are available on the island. As the nearest shop is around 20km away at Lyness and there is no public transport on the island, customers are advised to ensure they have enough provisions.
