The Cairngorm National Park has hostels throughout allowing easy access to the largest area of arctic mountain landscape in the UK, with diverse rural communities around it. The Cairngorms are home to 25% of Britain's threatened bird, animal and plant life and includes wildlife rich moorlands, ancient Caledonian forests, crystal clear rivers, lochs and isolated glens.
