The traditional crofting village of Garenin has now come back to life after its "black houses" were restored by Urras Nan Gearrannan (The Garenin Trust). The Hostel was the first of these to be rebuilt and was opened in 1991. A fantastic experience set amongst wonderful wild scenery. The village is set in a peaceful bay on the rocky coast of West Lewis. Gatflif Trust Hostel, sorry no advanced booking. Junior £5.50 / Senior £8.00
For practical reasons it is not possible to accommodate children under 5 years-of-age. Beds are usually available, but reservations cannot be made for the first night of a proposed stay. No special facilities are available.
Camping £5.
